NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

National Service Scheme, an Indian Government sponsored public service program, functions actively with its 100 volunteers in The Oxford College of Business Management. Affiliated to Bangalore University, the NSS unit at the institution organizes regular social activities and camps. The unit is associated with Government organizations like Urban Primary Health Centre, Agara, Government Schools in the District and Non Government Organisations like Samarthanam and other local bodies that supports social activities. The volunteers of the National Service Scheme involves themselves in social welfare programmes like Pulse Polio Camps, Blood Donation Camps, Plastic eradication and other public awareness events. The NSS volunteers have a prestigious recognition for coordinating the Cricket Tournament for Blind, organized by the Samarthanam Trust for disabled. The Volunteers also contributes their services for the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, a central government of India funding scheme for rural development.
